In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance their aesthetic appeal, and ensure durability. The ideal candidate is energetic, skilled in multiple painting techniques, and possesses a strong understanding of safety protocols and surface preparation. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing imperfections to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed schematics to determine project scope and specifications. Apply paint using various methods including brushes, rollers, hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, and other industrial painting techniques. Execute specialized painting tasks such as stucco application, masonry coating, industrial finishes, restoration projects, and renovation work. Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and perform minor carpentry or handyman tasks related to painting projects. Maintain safety standards by correctly handling tools like scaffolding, welding equipment (if applicable), and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment. Collaborate with team members on construction estimating processes and project timelines to meet client expectations efficiently. Skills Proven experience in residential and commercial painting with a solid understanding of construction site procedures. Knowledge of color theory to select appropriate hues and finishes for various surfaces. Skilled in using hand tools such as scrapers, brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and power tools including airless sprayers. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately for precise project execution. Familiarity with plastering techniques, stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, and restoration processes. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface area and material quantities. Experience with construction estimating practices to assist in project planning and resource allocation. Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites including proper handling of chemicals and equipment like scaffolding or welding tools when necessary.
