Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality craftsmanship on every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites, utilize a wide range of tools and techniques, and contribute to the creation of beautiful, durable environments. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, airless spray equipment, or power tools. Read blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and color schemes aligned with client expectations. Perform specialized tasks such as plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry work to achieve smooth finishes. Conduct restoration and renovation work on existing structures by matching colors and textures accurately. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for surface preparation and finishing tasks. Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, masons, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution on construction sites. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting as well as commercial or industrial painting projects. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities. Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and ability to read blueprints or schematics confidently. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, as well as power tools including airless sprayers and welding equipment. Knowledge of color theory to help clients select appropriate color schemes that enhance space aesthetics. Experience with renovation projects involving drywall repair, fixture installation, framing carpentry, or remodeling is a plus. Ability to work at heights safely when required for exterior or high-rise projects. Valid construction site experience with an understanding of schematics related to building systems is preferred.
