In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure high-quality results that meet client specifications. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and repairing walls, ceilings, and other structures to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply primers, paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project scope and specifications. Perform specialty painting tasks including industrial painting, stucco application, restoration work, and masonry finishes. Execute surface preparation techniques like caulking, plastering, drywall installation, trim carpentry, framing carpentry, and fixture installation to create a smooth base for painting. Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements accurately and manage time effectively on-site. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols during all tasks. Assist with renovation projects by performing carpentry repairs such as framing or drywall repairs as needed. Conduct maintenance tasks such as concrete finishing or masonry work to support ongoing projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high-quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting or related fields with a strong understanding of industry best practices. Knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects and accurate color matching. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools including airless sprayers, welding equipment (if applicable), and scaffolding setup. Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for precise project execution. Experience with plastering, stucco application, restoration work, caulking techniques, trim carpentry, masonry or concrete finishing is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and estimations accurately. Strong construction site experience with an understanding of safety regulations and protocols. Handyman experience or background in remodeling enhances versatility on diverse projects. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to adapt quickly on dynamic job sites.
