Journeyman Painter Willamette Painting Solutions Eugene, OR Job Details Part-time $19 - $25 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Structural painting Outdoor work Construction painting Driver's License Caulking Full Job Description Overview We are looking for a skilled and dependable Journeyman Painter to join our growing team. This position involves a wide variety of residential and commercial painting projects, including interior and exterior painting, cabinet finishing, staining, and surface repair work. We are seeking someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, pays attention to detail, and works efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate has experience with prep work, spray applications, drywall repair, and specialty finishes, along with a strong understanding of proper painting techniques and job site professionalism. Responsibilities Perform high-quality interior and exterior painting projects Prepare surfaces through sanding, scraping, caulking, masking, priming, and cleaning Apply coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment including airless sprayers Complete cabinet finishing using lacquer and enamel products Perform staining on wood surfaces including siding, trim, decks, and cabinetry Conduct small dry rot repairs and minor carpentry as needed Repair sheetrock/drywall including patching, taping, mudding, sanding, and texture matching Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout projects Communicate professionally with team members and customers Follow safety procedures and properly use ladders, scaffolding, and protective equipment Ensure projects are completed efficiently while maintaining company quality standards Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Painter Strong knowledge of interior and exterior painting techniques Experience with cabinet lacquer and enamel applications preferred Skilled in drywall/sheetrock repair, taping, mudding, and texture work Familiarity with staining and wood finishing techniques Basic knowledge of small dry rot repair and minor carpentry Experience operating airless sprayers and other painting equipment Ability to lift materials, climb ladders, and work in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Supportive team environment Diverse projects with a focus on quality craftsmanship If you are a motivated painter who values quality work and takes pride in transforming homes and spaces, we'd love to hear from you.
