Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Residential and Commercial Painter to bring vibrant, durable finishes to a variety of interior and exterior projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse renovation, restoration, and new construction sites, transforming spaces with expert craftsmanship. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with a keen eye for detail, safety, and quality. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools such as brushes, rollers, airless paint sprayers, and spray equipment. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately determine project scope and specifications for both residential and commercial projects. Perform plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and masonry work to enhance surface durability before painting. Execute renovation and restoration tasks by repairing damaged surfaces or structures using carpentry, masonry, or welding techniques. Operate construction estimating tools to assess project materials and time requirements efficiently. Install fixtures and perform maintenance tasks including drywall repair, framing, concrete finishing, and masonry work as needed on-site. Follow safety protocols on construction sites by using proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA standards. Read schematics and blueprints to ensure precise application of paint schemes according to client specifications. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, disposing of waste responsibly, and ensuring site safety at all times. Skills Extensive experience with residential painting techniques including color theory application for aesthetic enhancement. Proficiency in commercial painting projects involving large-scale surfaces and industrial coatings. Skilled in using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, scrapers, caulking guns, as well as power tools including airless sprayers and drills. Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes for accurate project planning and resource management. Experience with plastering, stucco application, fixture installation, restoration work, and remodeling projects. Familiarity with construction site safety practices along with basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Knowledge of masonry techniques including concrete finishing and brickwork; experience in welding is a plus. Handyman experience that includes maintenance tasks such as drywall repair or fixture replacement is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently on renovation projects while maintaining high-quality standards in both residential and commercial environments.
