Job Description

Purpose:
Mix and apply paint provided by using brush, roller or spray. Must be able to finish drywall and perform plaster related repairs at industry standard production levels. Perform inspections of fire separation and fire stopping. Install and repair fire stopping at UL standards and certify their own installations.
Responsibilities:
Perform fire barrier preventive maintenance and maintain code knowledge base. Preparation and installation of ceramic tile, stone and marble. Exhibit, both verbally and behaviorally, a commitment to the values of service excellence in carrying out on-going duties. Assist carpenters in construction projects, stud walls, hang drywall, demolition, installation of grid work, tile, and acoustical ceilings. Surface finishing and grouting of tile, stone and marble. Maintain a positive outlook and interactions with co-workers, which contribute to the team effort of the department. Order material necessary for any job. Mix and apply paint at the rate of 2,000 square feet per eight-hour-day on smooth or pre-finished walls, 1,200 square feet per eight-hour-day on rough walls, including but not restricted to concrete or masonry block, rough plaster, acoustical tile and others of similar texture. Refinish furniture, stain, lacquer, paint, and polish. Floor leveling and surface preparation/masonry. Adhere to the Basics of Service Excellence in all interactions with clients and the public. Perform masonry repairs as needed. Maintain clean and safe work area, equipment rooms and shop area. Perform all work following infection control procedures. Responsible for setting-up appropriate level of infection control containment (ICRA) based on risk level and maintaining the integrity of that containment. Perform minor repair jobs on walls before painting. Custom tile installation and setting; repair/replacement of existing materials. Perform any maintenance work required in which skills can be utilized. Record personal work orders and submit hours on a daily basis.
