Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter to oversee and execute high-quality painting projects in commercial and healthcare settings. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for guiding a team of painters, ensuring safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional results that enhance the aesthetics and durability of our properties. What We Offer 4-Day Work Weeks - Enjoy long weekends at home All Travel Expenses Covered - Hotels and meals covered Company-Provided Tools & Transportation Competitive Pay & Comprehensive Benefits Consistent Work Across Multiple Locations Duties Lead and coordinate painting crew on various projects, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and repairing walls or structures before painting begins Apply primers, paints, stains, sealers, and specialty coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools Estimate material quantities and labor needs accurately through construction painting estimating techniques Perform surface preparation for diverse materials including stucco, masonry, drywall, and wood trim (trim carpentry). Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols at all times Manage project timelines by coordinating with clients, contractors, and team members to meet deadlines Conduct quality control inspections to ensure finished work meets company standards and client expectations Skills Extensive experience in residential painting with a solid understanding of color theory for achieving desired aesthetic effects Proven expertise in commercial and industrial painting applications using various techniques including airless spray systems Strong knowledge of construction painting estimating processes for cost-effective project planning Proficiency with hand tools (brushes, rollers) and power tools (sanders, drills). Ability to perform surface preparation tasks such as plastering, caulking (for sealing gaps), stucco application, masonry work, concrete finishing, restoration projects, and fixture installation Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to material needs and project dimensions.
