Currently we are looking for 4 Painter IIs with proven leadership experience and skills. Interested? Keep reading. Broadwind Heavy Fabrications is searching for an experienced painter to join our team in Abilene, TX. This position is on our A-Shift, which is 6 am to 6 pm Monday through Thursday. This position will prep and paint exterior and interior of sections, utilizing applicable paint work instructions to ensure quality and production needs are met. If you want a job that is rewarding with great benefits, check out the job duties below: Properly mix paint per customer specificationsManually mix zinc and apply to customer specificationsApply epoxy to exterior section to customer specificationsProperly mix and apply mist coatPrep the system for paint which includes reviewing for cleanliness, scraping and cleaning metalizing areas, air blowing section by hand and wrapping paint linesUse spray gun to paint section to customer specificationsMeasure paint thickness with wet mill gaugeMaintain paint system prior to painting operationsPerform basic maintenance tasks on paint equipment (clean equipment and check for obvious leaks)Paint with minimal quality issues (runs, sags, dry spray, pinholes)Maintain cleanliness of work areaRecord job and section information in time matrixPrevious leadership experience preferred.
