High School education or equivalent

EXPERIENCE

Prior job experience as a painter Position Function/Purpose To improve the appearance of district facilities by repairing and painting them according to instructions. Major Responsibilities 1. Prepare the surface to be painted 2. Select proper painting supplies and equipment 3. Cares for equipment used on job site. 4. Protect existing facilities as painting is being done 5. Keep paint foreman informed on all projects and work orders stratus 6. Other duties as assigned by

Plumbing Foreman or Director of Facility Design Qualification Requirements Minimum Certification/Education:

7. The ability to read and write 8. The ability to follow written and oral directions 9. High School education or equivalent 10. Maintain valid Texas Driver's license

Special Knowledge/Skills:

11. The ability to perform duties at unusual heights 12. Ability to distinguish basic colors 13. Repeated bending and climbing 14. Moderate lifting

Minimum Experience:

Prior job experience as a painter

• Paint
• Ladder (Stilts on occasion)
• Scrapper
• Spray gun
• Air compressors/spray equipment
• Caulking compounds
