We're looking for a skilled painter to join our team and help us continue to deliver top-notch results for our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction processes. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively in various environments, including renovation and restoration projects. Not all skills are mandatory and new skills can be learned with on the job training or classes. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Drywall installation, drywall hanging, drywall finishing, taping and mudding, drywalling, drywall repair, skimming, taping/mudding, wallboard installation, sheetrock installation, patching, texturing Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the scope of work required. Estimate materials needed for projects and maintain inventory of supplies. Perform plastering, caulking, and other surface preparation tasks as needed. Carry out maintenance tasks related to painting and repairs on various structures. Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure project timelines are met. Execute restoration projects while maintaining the integrity of original structures. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all aspects of the job. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial painting is essential. Strong knowledge of basic math skills for accurate measurements. Familiarity with color theory and its application in various settings. Experience with plastering, trim carpentry, stucco work, masonry, concrete finishing, and maintenance person tasks is preferred. Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. Knowledge of industrial painting techniques is a plus. . Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
