The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of color theory, construction techniques, and the ability to work with various materials. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople on construction sites. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project requirements. Estimate materials and labor costs for painting projects. Execute restoration and renovation tasks as required. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various environments. Perform caulking and plastering to ensure smooth finishes. Collaborate with carpenters for trim carpentry and fixture installations. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the project duration. Follow safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards. Experience Candidates should possess experience in the following areas: Residential painting and commercial painting projects. Construction site experience with an understanding of construction processes. Proficiency in color theory and basic math for accurate measurements. Familiarity with industrial painting techniques and materials. Knowledge of masonry, concrete finishing, stucco application, and welding is a plus. Previous maintenance person experience or skills in maintenance tasks will be advantageous.
