Job Description

Spokane Kitchen Center is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Cabinet Finisher to join our Finish Department. You'll be responsible for preparing, finishing, and quality-checking all cabinet and millwork components with precision before they move to Assembly. What You'll Do Sand, prep, and inspect raw components prior to finishing. Mix, match, and apply stains, paints, and clear coats per SKC finish standards. Operate spray equipment and maintain consistent finish quality. Follow one-kitchen-at-a-time batch flow — no mixed jobs or mislabeled parts. Inspect finished parts for defects (runs, dry spray, color variance, contamination). Label, organize, and stage finished parts on designated project carts. Complete finish checklists and ensure accurate handoff to Assembly. Maintain a clean, ventilated, and organized finish booth and prep area. Communicate job status, shortages, or issues through company chat channels. What We're Looking For Experience in cabinet or millwork finishing (spray booth experience preferred). Strong understanding of sanding, prep, stain application, and spraying techniques. Attention to detail with a high standard of craftsmanship. Ability to follow color formulas, mix materials, and maintain equipment. Organized, reliable, and able to follow structured SOPs and Lean workflows. Safety-focused — PPE, ventilation, and equipment handling required.
