Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance durability, and ensure high-quality results that meet client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new constructions to restoration and remodeling efforts, utilizing your technical skills and eye for detail to deliver outstanding craftsmanship. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine project scope and specifications. Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, stucco application, masonry work, and drywall finishing to create smooth bases for painting. Execute specialized painting tasks such as industrial coating applications or restoration projects on various substrates including concrete, wood trim, masonry, and metal surfaces. Install fixtures and trim carpentry elements like baseboards or crown molding as needed for complete finishing touches. Maintain a safe work environment by following proper procedures on construction sites and handling tools like welding equipment or scaffolding safely. Requirements Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction painting with a strong understanding of color theory and surface preparation techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools (brushes, rollers), power tools (airless sprayers), and advanced techniques such as spray painting or welding when necessary. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating material needs. Familiarity with renovation projects including framing carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, caulking, fixture installation, and restoration work. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety protocols related to scaffolding, masonry work, concrete finishing, or industrial environments. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks requiring precision such as trim carpentry or masonry work.
