As a key leader on our team, you will coordinate painting operations, mentor junior painters, and ensure that all work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and construction processes will drive successful project completion and client satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead dynamic projects while showcasing your mastery of both technical skills and team leadership. Duties Lead and supervise painting crews on multiple projects, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project timelines Prepare surfaces through sanding, plastering, caulking, and other surface preparation techniques to ensure optimal paint adhesion Apply paints, stains, primers, sealers, and specialty coatings using hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, and other application methods Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately determine scope of work and material requirements Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to plan schedules, estimate costs, and review project specifications Perform renovation and restoration work on existing structures, including masonry, stucco repair, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and drywall finishing Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety standards and properly handling hazardous materials such as industrial coatings or welding materials Skills Extensive experience in residential painting, commercial painting, construction painting, industrial coating applications, and renovation projects Strong knowledge of construction estimating processes and basic math for measuring surfaces and calculating material needs Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for accurate project execution Skilled in the use of hand tools (brushes, rollers), power tools (spray guns, sanders), scaffolding equipment, and specialized tools for masonry or stucco work Familiarity with color theory to advise clients on color selection and application techniques Ability to perform surface preparation tasks such as plastering, caulking, drywall finishing (including trim carpentry), masonry repairs, concrete finishing or framing carpentry Experience with schematics for fixture installation or maintenance tasks; knowledge of welding or airless paint spraying is a plus Demonstrated handyman experience with skills in remodeling or general maintenance tasks on construction sites Join us as a Lead Painter to bring vibrant visions to life!
