In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications and safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from restoration to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and attention to detail to deliver exceptional craftsmanship. Duties Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and repairing imperfections using hand tools and power tools. Read blueprints, schematics, and schematics to determine project scope and specific painting requirements. Apply paint, stains, primers, and specialty coatings using airless paint spraying equipment or brushes and rollers for residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Perform surface preparation tasks such as plastering, stucco application, masonry work, or drywall finishing to ensure smooth finishes. Install fixtures, trim carpentry, moldings, or other decorative elements as part of renovation or remodeling projects. Conduct maintenance tasks including touch-ups, restoration work, or ongoing site upkeep during construction phases. Follow safety protocols on construction sites while working with scaffolding, welding equipment, or working at heights. Skills Extensive experience with construction estimating and understanding project scopes. Strong knowledge of color theory to achieve desired aesthetic effects. Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques with hands-on experience in construction painting projects. Skilled in using hand tools such as scrapers, brushes, rollers, caulking guns, and power tools including sanders and spray guns. Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise application of coatings. Experience with plastering, stucco application, masonry work, and concrete finishing. Knowledge of industrial painting processes and fixture installation for large-scale projects. Familiarity with renovation processes involving framing carpentry, trim carpentry, restoration work, and remodeling activities. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project specifications. Experience with welding or working with schematics is a plus for specialized industrial applications. Ability to perform maintenance tasks such as handyman repairs or surface preparation for repainting projects.
