Job Summary:
The Pipefitter is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications and local codes.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately interpret and apply blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the optimal layout for piping systems, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards. Expertly install pipe hangers and supports to secure piping systems, ensuring stability and alignment throughout the project. Safely perform rigging and lifting operations to position and install heavy piping materials and equipment using cranes, hoists, and other lifting devices. Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipes and tubing using hand and power tools, ensuring precision and adherence to project specifications. Conduct mechanical assembly of complex piping systems, integrating components and ensuring seamless functionality. Skillfully fit and join various types of pipes, including metal, plastic, and composite materials, using appropriate methods and techniques. Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, and loss of unused materials, while maintaining a clean and organized worksite.
