Fire Sprinkler Fitter

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local codes and regulations. .

Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial and residential buildings.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Use specialized tools such as pipe threading and tube bending machines to fabricate and install fire sprinkler components.
• Perform stick welding and soldering to join pipes and fittings.
• Use a caliper to measure and cut pipes to the correct length.
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure fire sprinkler systems are functioning properly.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty fire sprinkler systems.
• Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in fire sprinkler systems.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system schematics and blueprints.
• Proficiency in pipe threading, tube bending, and soldering.
• Basic math skills to calculate pipe lengths and angles.
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
