Pipefitter / Fuser
We are looking to fill a Pipefitter position on our field crew. The fitter plays a vital role in constructing, installing, and maintaining piping systems for natural gas utilities. Come apply your expertise with fusion equipment and pipefitting procedures and gain valuable industry experience. Construct, install, and maintain piping systems for natural gas utilities Join piping by means of fusion, electrofusion or mechanical coupled joints Thread pipe by using a threading machine or hand threader Inspect and test piping system for leaks Provide labor and equipment operation as needed to support specialty crew Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles Load and unload equipment and materials Operate a variety of hand and power tools Maintain the equipment used in day-to-day operations. Preparation of construction site; digging trenches and setting support braces in trenches Maintain all necessary paperwork and documentation Must ensure the proper use of personal safety equipment Keep worksite clean, organized, and free from unnecessary hazards Take on construction tasks in various weather conditions, ensuring every project is completed safely and efficiently Perform miscellaneous duties assigned Key Qualifications DOT OQ Gas Pipeline-qualified preferred High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of job-related experience or military equivalent Valid driver's license DOT Medical Card (if driving a company vehicle)Physical Requirements:
This role can be physically demanding and requires work in various weather conditions. Ability to stand or walk for long periods Repeated lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
