In this role, you will be responsible for the full-cycle installation, service, and repair of water-based fire sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and Deluge systems, as well as fire pumps and associated equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly safety-conscious, and experienced in ensuring systems meet NFPA 25 Title 19 guidelines. You will work both independently and collaboratively, utilizing your technical expertise to protect lives and property while enjoying a supportive, friendly work environment and a comprehensive benefits package. Job Roles and Responsibilities Install, inspect, test, and repair water-based fire sprinkler systems and overall fire protection equipment. Perform comprehensive routine, emergency, and 5-year inspections under NFPA 25 Title 19 guidelines. Read and interpret project drawings accurately to ensure installations meet design plans, communicating necessary site-specific design changes as needed. Troubleshoot, repair, or replace defective components, including fire pumps, pump controllers, and water flow/tamper switches. Utilize various hand tools, shop tools, and specialized testing equipment effectively and safely. Request and maintain strict accountability for parts, tools, equipment, and materials required for daily assignments. Prepare, complete, and submit detailed and accurate work documents and fire inspection reports. Safely operate, clean, and maintain the assigned company service vehicle. Mentor, teach, and work alongside sprinkler apprentices to foster team development. Comply strictly with all environmental, safety standards, and safe work practices.
Qualifications and Certifications Education:
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.Certification:
Active Fire Sprinkler Fitter Card is required .Experience:
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience servicing fire sprinkler systems, with a strong understanding of 5-year inspections.Industry Knowledge:
Familiarity with applicable local fire and building codes is highly preferred.Driving Record:
Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean DMV record acceptable to the company's insurance.Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to see, hear, talk, stand, walk, sit, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work on scaffolding in diverse weather conditions and potentially noisy field environments.Clearances:
Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check, DMV record check, and drug screening upon receiving a signed offer.Benefits Health & Wellness:
