Experienced Pipe Layer - EDGE Contracting, Inc. Join One of Colorado's Premier Heavy Civil Construction Teams EDGE Contracting, Inc. is a growing heavy civil contractor based in Golden, Colorado, specializing in underground utilities, drainage improvements, site development, excavation, and infrastructure projects throughout the Denver Metro Area. We are seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our field operations team and help deliver high-quality wet utility projects across the Front Range. Position Summary The Experienced Pipe Layer will work closely with Superintendents, Foremen, Operators, and Utility Crews to install underground utility systems including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and related structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trench safety, utility installation, grade control, and heavy civil construction practices. Responsibilities Install storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and related utility infrastructure. Read and interpret construction plans, profiles, and utility drawings. Establish and maintain pipe grade and alignment. Install manholes, vaults, catch basins, fittings, and utility structures. Assist with trench layout, utility excavation, and backfill operations. Work safely around heavy equipment and active construction sites. Follow OSHA and company safety requirements at all times. Perform daily inspections of tools and equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Support crew productivity and project schedule goals. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of underground utility or pipe laying experience. Experience installing water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems. Ability to read grade stakes, utility plans, and construction drawings. Strong understanding of trench safety and excavation practices. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Experience with deep utility installations. Experience working around GPS and laser grading systems. Current OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification. CDL license or equipment operating experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in trenches, around excavation equipment, and on uneven terrain.
