Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipelines, as well as other related infrastructure. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
  • Perform pipelaying tasks including, installing pipes, and backfilling trenches.
  • Operate heavy machinery, such as Trackhoe, Front Loaders and Skid Steers.
  • Use pipe lasers and other tools to ensure proper alignment and grading of pipes.
  • Locate underground utilities using specialized equipment and techniques, hand dig when required.
  • Assist with concrete forming and finishing for pipe supports and structures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and safe pipeline installation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work site, adhering to safety regulations and best practices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents to ensure accurate installation of pipes and related infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Pipelayer or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing techniques for utility work.
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience as a pipelayer or in a related field.
  • Knowledge of pipeline installation and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery, including backhoes and front loader trucks.
  • Experience with pipe lasers and welding equipment.
  • Familiarity with utility locating techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and meet safety standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization. Employees must be willing to travel to Grand County for work. L4 will supply housing and will pay per diem for overnight stays.
