In this vital role, you will be responsible for laying and installing underground sewer pipelines with precision and safety. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, blueprint reading, and pipeline installation will ensure the successful completion of sewer infrastructure projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential public works and utility systems, working on diverse construction sites with a focus on quality and efficiency. Duties Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, loaders, backhoes, and forklifts to excavate trenches and position pipes accurately. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, construction plans, and utility maps to ensure proper pipeline placement. Install sewer pipes using pipe lasers for precise alignment and elevation control, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Perform concrete forming and finishing for manholes, junctions, and related structures as needed. Conduct utility locating to identify existing underground utilities before excavation to prevent damage or accidents. Weld pipe joints and fittings securely using appropriate welding techniques to ensure leak-proof connections. Assist with plumbing tasks related to sewer systems and coordinate with other trades such as pipeline, concrete finishing, and oil & gas crews for integrated project execution. Experience Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and utility maps accurately. Hands-on experience with pipeline installation, concrete forming, welding, and pipe laser alignment tools. Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and utility locating procedures. Prior work in sewer or utility pipeline projects within the construction or oil & gas industries is highly desirable. Familiarity with plumbing systems related to large-scale infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
