Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. FG Construction is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer for our Underground & Drainage Division. The Pipe Layer is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of underground water lines, drainage systems, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer infrastructure. Duties include excavating and preparing trenches, laying and joining pipe sections, setting grades and elevations, performing backfill and compaction operations, and working in compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations. This is a physically demanding field position requiring work in varying weather conditions and confined spaces.
