Job Description

We are hiring Pipefitters Pipefitters install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair high-pressure piping systems, primarily in industrial settings like factories, refineries, and power plants. They work with specialized materials to transport chemicals, steam, fuel, and water, focusing on systems that require extreme precision, safety, and compliance with high-pressure codes.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Reading Blueprints:
Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to plan pipe system layouts.
Fabrication and Installation:
Cutting, threading, bending, and assembling pipes using tools such as saws, torches, and pipe threaders.
Joining Pipes:
Connecting pipe sections using welding, brazing, soldering, or mechanical joints.
System Testing:
Using pressure gauges and hydrostatic tests to ensure there are no leaks.
Maintenance:
Inspecting and repairing existing piping systems to ensure efficient operation.
Work Environments:
Pipefitters work in heavy-duty environments including: Oil refineries and petrochemical plants. Power generation plants (nuclear and conventional). Manufacturing facilities and paper mills. Large commercial construction sites (HVAC and water treatment)
Skills Required:
Mechanical Aptitude:
Proficient in using heavy power tools.
Technical Knowledge:
Understanding of metallurgy and safety regulations.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to work in confined spaces and lift heavy materials.
Welding Skills:
Many pipefitters (known as pipefitter-welders) are highly skilled in welding methods like TIG, MIG, or Stick. This is an immediate need and immediate start for qualified candidates. Must pass test prior to job start. Pay range will depend on test. Pay range will be from $32
  • 36 hourly pay and $100 per diem for days worked.
