Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Laborer Pipe Layer to join our underground utilities construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in installing, maintaining, and repairing underground pipelines for utilities such as water, sewer, gas, and oil. Your hands-on expertise with heavy equipment and construction techniques will ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse infrastructure projects that keep communities connected and functioning smoothly. Duties Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and move materials effectively. Read and interpret construction blueprints, utility maps, and pipeline layouts to accurately install underground utilities. Use pipe lasers and other precision tools to ensure proper alignment and elevation of pipelines during installation. Assist in concrete forming, finishing, and pouring to support utility installations where necessary. Locate existing underground utilities using utility locating equipment to prevent damage during excavation. Perform welding tasks on pipes or related structures when required for pipeline integrity. Support pipeline installation by working with plumbing systems and ensuring proper connection of utility lines in compliance with safety standards. Requirements Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts, and front loader trucks in construction settings. Knowledge of blueprint reading and ability to interpret technical drawings related to pipeline installation. Familiarity with utility locating methods and tools used for underground utility detection. Experience with concrete finishing, forming, welding, and pipe laser alignment is highly desirable. Construction site experience specifically in underground utilities or pipeline projects is preferred. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety protocols. Relevant certifications such as heavy equipment operation licenses or safety training are a plus; experience with oil & gas or pipeline projects is advantageous.
