Underground Utility Pipelayer - South Metro Atlanta District (Storm/Sewer/Water) 2.1 2.1 out of 5 stars Position Overview Southeastern Site Development, Inc. is hiring experienced Underground Utility Pipelayers for infrastructure and roadway projects located throughout the South Metro District of Georgia . Our crews install storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water main systems on heavy civil and municipal construction projects. Projects include roadway construction, DOT infrastructure work, site development, and municipal utility installation. This is a great opportunity for dependable workers who have experience in underground utilities, trench work, and heavy civil construction and want consistent work with a growing company. Key Responsibilities Install storm drain, sanitary sewer, water main, and drainage pipe systems Set up pipe laser and shoot grade with transit Lay pipe to proper alignment and elevation per project specifications Install manholes, inlets, junction boxes, and related structures Perform backfill and compaction operations Cut, and join pipe sections as required Work safely in and around trenches in compliance with OSHA standards Assist with site cleanup and maintain organized work areas Follow directions from supervisors and adhere to all safety protocols Required Qualifications Experience installing underground utility pipe in a heavy civil environment Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes Knowledge of trench safety and excavation standards Ability to safely work around existing utilities Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work Strong attention to safety and detail Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-diameter pipe installation Familiarity with laser levels and grade control systems Experience on DOT or municipal projects Benefits Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Life Insurance, Accident, and Critical Illness Coverage Employer-paid $20,000 Life Insurance Policy 401(k) with Employer Match Overtime opportunities Competitive pay based on experience Company Overview Southeastern Site Development, Inc. is a leading heavy civil construction company operating throughout Georgia.
