Equipment Operator/Pipe Layer

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Equipment Operator and Pipe Layer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the installation and maintenance of underground piping systems and street lighting, operating heavy machinery and performing related site work as required. Key Responsibilities Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, and other machinery. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground pipe systems, including water, sewer, and storm lines. Ensure proper alignment, grading, and joining of pipes according to project specifications. Perform trenching, grading, and backfilling activities to support pipe installation. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance. Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to maintain a safe job site. Collaborate with crew members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently and on schedule. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment. Qualifications Previous experience as an equipment operator and/or pipe layer preferred. Valid driver's license required; CDL or relevant certifications preferred. Knowledge of construction site safety standards and pipe installation best practices. Ability to operate equipment in a safe, precise, and productive manner. Physically able to perform tasks in outdoor and varying weather conditions. Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
