Job Summary We are seeking experienced Water and Sewer Installers to join our dynamic construction team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining water and sewer systems across various construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure the integrity and safety of essential infrastructure, contributing to community development and public health. Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and bucket operation tools to excavate trenches and move materials efficiently. Install water mains, sewer lines, and related piping systems following project specifications and safety standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools to assemble, connect, and secure piping components with precision. Perform utility locating to identify existing underground infrastructure before excavation to prevent damage. Rigging heavy loads safely using appropriate techniques to ensure secure placement of pipes or equipment. Maintain mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues with installed systems or equipment malfunctions. Climb structures safely using appropriate safety gear when working on elevated sites or utility poles. Use rigging techniques and mechanical skills for lifting and positioning large components accurately on site. Follow all safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage, welding, electrical work, and construction site procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Qualifications Proven experience in water and sewer installation with a strong background in construction site work. Demonstrated proficiency operating heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other machinery listed above. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to utility installation projects. Knowledge of utility locating methods to identify underground utilities before excavation activities. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot system issues efficiently. Experience with rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely on construction sites. Strong safety awareness with adherence to all safety protocols related to high voltage, low voltage, welding, electrical work, and heavy equipment operation. Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving on-site.
