Pipe Installer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Pipe Installer to join our team. The role involves installing, assembling, and securing pipes, fittings, and related components according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial pipefitting, plumbing, or mechanical installation and be able to efficiently measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and secure pipes, fittings, and related components according to blueprints, schematics, and specifications. Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery. Inspect worksite conditions and prepare materials, tools, and equipment needed for installation. Test piping systems for leaks, pressure integrity, and proper operation. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to coordinate installation activities. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and system changes. Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety protocols. Troubleshoot and repair existing piping systems as needed. Essential Skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and technical drawings. Proficiency with pipe installation tools (threaders, cutters, welders, torches, etc.). Strong understanding of industrial materials such as steel, copper, PVC, and specialty alloys. Knowledge of safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures. Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and operate in industrial environments. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in industrial pipefitting, plumbing, or mechanical installation. High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or apprenticeship preferred. The role demands adherence to safety protocols, including proper attire and use of protective equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jeffersonville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
