Job Description This role performs a wide range of welding operations using multiple processes in accordance with AWS standards to support fabrication, construction, and repair projects. You will interpret technical drawings, set up and operate welding equipment, and work with various metals to produce high‑quality welds that meet project specifications and safety requirements. Responsibilities Perform welding operations using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or other qualified processes in accordance with AWS certification requirements. Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and fabrication drawings to determine job requirements. Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, tools, and fixtures to ensure safe and efficient operation. Inspect welds visually and with measuring tools to confirm compliance with AWS standards and project specifications. Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to hot‑work procedures, and compliance with OSHA guidelines. Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, sheet steel, cast iron, and other metals as required by the project Work Environment This role is based in a shop and field environment focused on welding, fabrication, HVAC, and construction‑related work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Jeffersonville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.
