Class Carbon Steel Pipe Fitter Location:

Houma, LA Job Summary:

A 1st Class Carbon Steel Pipe Fitter performs layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience and the ability to successfully demonstrate proficiency in various hands-on pipe fitting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems. Apply a bevel using a grinder with a sanding disc. Cut the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle. Perform silver brazing of a socket joint pipe in the horizontal (flat and horizontal flow) and vertical (vertical up flow) positions per ASME requirements.

Experience:

Minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience. Ability to successfully demonstrate proficiency in the hands-on pipe fitter test, including: Applying a bevel using a grinder with a sanding disc. Cutting the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle.
