Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Houma, LA that is the leading provider of quality construction, manufacturing, engineering, repair, and conversion products and services to the marine industry. The Carbon Steel Pipe Fitter is responsible for performing to perform layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems.
Essential Functions:
Perform layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems Apply a bevel using a grinder with a sanding disc Cut the opposing end of the pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle Perform silver brazing of a socket joint pipe in the horizontal (flat and horizontal flow) and vertical (vertical up flow) positions per ASME requirements Strong understanding of pipe fitting techniques and best practices Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to pipe fitting Knowledge of ASME requirements for pipe fitting
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months of carbon pipe fitting experience Pass a hands-on pipe fitter test by Applying a bevel using grinder with a sanding disc Cutting the opposing end of a pipe to saddle a pipe of the same size at a 90-degree angle Performing silver brazing of a socket joint pipe in the horizontal (flat and horizontal flow) and vertical (vertical up flow) positions by ASME requirements
