Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Journeyman Pipefitter position based in Boston, MA. The role involves installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems according to blueprints and specifications. You will work with various piping materials, perform TIG/Stick welding, and ensure the safe handling of steam systems. Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues will be part of your day-to-day responsibilities. Adhering to all safety guidelines and maintaining high-quality workmanship is critical. Qualifications Proficiency in pipe installation, pipefitting techniques, and handling different types of pipe materials Experience with welding, including TIG/Stick welding, with a strong understanding of safety protocols Knowledge and experience working with steam systems in industrial or commercial settings Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team Physical ability to perform tasks that may require working in various environments and conditions Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; a technical certification in pipefitting or welding is preferred Relevant experience as a journeyman pipefitter or in a similar role is required Only work on Federal prevailing wage jobs.
