Job Description

The Fire Sprinkler Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the Fire Sprinkler Installation Department. This role will maintain compliance with all relevant codes and regulations in the state of Texas. The Fire Sprinkler Construction Manager will lead a team and will have experience overseeing Fire Sprinkler installation projects in a very fast paced environment, know the construction industry, and be someone that places an emphasis on safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Order materials and equipment for projects and monitor financials for each project. Responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction to the Fire Sprinkler Installation Department. Set goals and objectives for subordinates, communicate expectations to employees and periodically review subordinate's performance. Daily operations of construction installation projects to be managed and monitored. Maintain loading schedules and labor forecasting. Ensure safety and industry training is current and documented for all technicians and that they have all the appropriate information and material prior to arrival at the job site. Maintain schedule of installers and track hours assigned to projects. Work in conjunction with the Operations team. Provide accurate project status updates during WIP meetings. Conduct regular job site safety walkthroughs and EHS evaluations as well as accident investigations. Meet with building engineers, property management, and/or site contacts upon arrival and departure to communicate work status. Proficient in developing business strategies, implementing action plans to meet and/or exceed department goals and objectives. Attend construction meetings and interface with end-users, architects, and general contractors. Other duties as assigned by management.Education/Qualification:
High school diploma or GED. At least 5 years of supervision/management experience dealing with Fire Sprinkler Installation in the commercial industry. 10+ years of experience working with fire sprinkler systems is highly preferred. Project Management/Construction Management experience. Knowledge of P&L is a plus. Experience or knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proficient in the use of Windows operating system.Preferred Certification:
RME NICET
certification is a plus.Other Duties:

While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and is occasionally required to lift and/or move heavy objects The work also requires the following physical abilities in order to perform the essential job functions: balancing, climbing, grasping, hearing, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Ability to work at excessive heights. Ability to walk and maneuver self around construction job sites and climb ladders. Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy pipe daily (10-40 lbs frequently and 50-75 lbs occasionally). Bending and squatting frequently and for long periods of time. Reaching and performing work above shoulder level frequently and for long periods of time. Ability to withstand occasional exposure to hot, cold, and/or inclement weather on job sites. Ability to wear PPE such as steel toe shoes, ear plugs, safety glass, safety harnesses, and hard hats occasionally on job sites.Pay Range:
