Plumber/Pipefitter

Job Title:

Lead Pipefitter/Plumber Job Description Leads plumbing and pipefitting work on mechanical projects, supervising apprentices in installing, welding, and repairing piping systems. Interprets blueprints, coordinates with other trades, and ensures all work meets building codes and safety standards. Responsible for quality, documentation, and on-time completion under a master plumber. Responsibilities Lead apprentices in piping installation, welding, and repairs Read and interpret blueprints and specifications Install and assemble piping systems, including cast iron Coordinate with contractors and other trades on-site Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and best practices Track work performed, time, and materials used Monitor quality, safety, and project timelines Maintain a safe work environment Essential Skills 5-10 years of plumbing experience Blueprint reading and construction knowledge Experience with mechanical piping installation/repair Leadership ability on job sites Knowledge of codes and safety regulations Strong attention to detail and multitasking Additional Qualifications Healthcare project experience preferred Cast iron and HVAC piping experience a plus Strong communication and teamwork skills Work Environment Active construction sites (commercial/healthcare), working with tools, blueprints, and physical tasks. Standard construction hours with possible schedule flexibility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Biddeford, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
