Job Description

We are looking for key additions to our team as we continue to build a brighter future for our company and the communities we serve. This posting is for our Pipe Layer position.
Objective:
This position is responsible for the laying of a variety of pipe (sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water main) in a safe and efficient manner. Duties and Responsibilities Align and join sections of pipe at grade with the use of a laser Determine appropriate measurements and cut pipe to required lengths Collaborate with equipment operators to ensure an effective, efficient, and safe excavation Partner with crew members and Foreman to construct a quality final product in a timely manner Support dewatering, bypass pumping, and other critical functions for the projects Perform other construction-related duties as required
Skills and Abilities:
Read and comprehend construction drawings Follow all safety policies and procedures Arrive on time and ready to work each day
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent 1 or more years pipe laying experience preferred We are also looking for motivated individuals who are able to follow instructions, learn as they go, and continue to strive for improvement. We will help coach and train the right, hardworking applicants.
Work Environment:
Must be able to work longer hours when necessary Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting (up to 50 pounds)
Compensation:
$25 per hour is the starting wage for an experienced pipe layer, but there is an opportunity for higher pay based on experience
