Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sanitary Pipefitter/Welder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sanitary piping systems across various construction and manufacturing sites. Your expertise in welding techniques, pipe fitting, and schematic interpretation will ensure the integrity and safety of food manufacturing systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver top-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems according to industry standards. Perform welding using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and other techniques to join pipes securely. Fit, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand tools, power tools, and tube benders to meet project specifications. Make food grade sanitary welds that meet customer expectations Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing piping infrastructure to ensure optimal operation. Rigging and positioning heavy pipe sections or equipment safely on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Follow safety protocols at all times while working with complex schematics, schematics reading, and technical documentation. Skills Proficiency in TIG welding, and other welding processes with a strong understanding of welding codes & standards. Experience with sanitary valves and componets Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pipe threading, tube bending, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, Iso drawings, and P&IDs Familiarity with construction site safety practices including rigging procedures and working within ASME regulations. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and installation tasks. Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to food processing. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical schematics accurately. Experience working on construction or industrial sites with a focus on food manufacturing. $35.00 - $42.00 per hour
