In this vital role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems across various construction and manufacturing projects. Your expertise in welding techniques, pipe fitting, and blueprint reading will ensure the integrity and safety of all piping installations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems Fit, cut, and assemble pipes for a welder that would be working with you. Install HVAC piping system, including pumps, Heat Exchanger ands any pipeline components as required by project specifications. Conduct rigging and lifting operations safely to position pipes and equipment on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Maintain mechanical knowledge of pipe systems to troubleshoot issues during installation or maintenance phases. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with schematics, technical manuals, and on-site instructions to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements Proven experience in pipe fitting or within construction sites. Proficiency in pipe welding to work with welder and helper as required to complete piping system. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of HVAC systems, HVAC codes, ASME standards, and pipeline installation practices. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used for cutting, grinding, and fitting pipes. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and material estimations. Experience working with schematics for assembly or maintenance tasks involving tubing or piping systems. Knowledge of construction safety procedures including rigging practices and OSHA regulations is preferred. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail for precise pipe fitting work.
