This role is responsible for fitting, fabricating, welding, installing, and repairing piping systems and related equipment in industrial and manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have experience reading blueprints, performing pipe fit-up, and completing high-quality welds while working safely in fast-paced industrial settings. This position works closely with millwright crews, superintendents, and project managers to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install, assemble, fit, and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping systems Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, isometrics, and specifications Measure, cut, thread, bevel, groove, and prepare pipe for installation and welding Perform pipe fit-up and welding in shop and field environments Complete MIG, TIG, and Stick welding based on project requirements Lay out piping systems and supports according to project plans Assist with rigging, equipment setting, and industrial installation projects Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on existing piping systems Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality standards and specifications are met Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, torches, and welding equipment safely and effectively Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Travel to job sites as needed Required Qualifications Previous experience as a Pipe Fitter/Welder in industrial or millwright environments Valid 6G Pipe Welding Certification required Experience with TIG, MIG, and Stick welding processes Ability to pass company and/or project-required weld tests Ability to read and interpret blueprints and isometric drawings Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications AWS and/or ASME certifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience in food processing or manufacturing facilities What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent work opportunities Per diem and hotel accommodations for qualifying travel projects Company culture focused on teamwork and safety Opportunity for growth within the Millwright Division CL Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
