Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Low Voltage Journeyperson Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in low voltage systems , with a focus on both commercial and industrial applications. This role requires proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of various hand and power tools. The low voltage Journeyperson Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing low voltage systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair low voltage wiring, equipment, and fiber optics in accordance with relevant codes. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of systems. Utilize various tools including ohmmeters, hand tools, and power tools to complete tasks efficiently. Troubleshoot CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a and Fiber issues and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal functionality. Collaborate with other tradespeople on projects that require technical expertise. Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local regulations. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry trends and technologies. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyperson Technician or similar role in commercial or industrial settings. Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics. Familiarity with low voltage systems is preferred. Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Valid NM JS03 or JS07 technician's license and/or certification as required by local regulations.
