PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect, examine, and test installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauges, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods. Lay out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints. Well versed in a variety of pipe types: aluminum, PVC, steel, compressed air, vacuum, etc. Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair according to specifications. Measure and mark pipes for cutting and threading. Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints. Cut, thread, and braze pipe to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, and pipe-threaders and benders.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate). 5+ years working as a Pipe Fitter in the HVAC Industry. Valid driver's license.
