This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, solving problems, and taking pride in high-quality workmanship. You'll work on a variety of residential and commercial projects including drain repairs, sewer replacements, septic system installations, excavation, and underground utility work. What You'll DoDrain & Sewer Work Assist with drain, sewer, and underground pipe installations and repairs Install sewer laterals, storm drains, and drainage systems Support trenchless and traditional excavation projects Perform camera inspections and utility locating as needed Safely use hand tools, power tools, and specialized drain equipment Septic Installation Assist with septic system installations, repairs, and replacements Install septic tanks, pump tanks, distribution boxes, and drain fields Read and follow site plans, grades, and specifications Work closely with inspectors, project managers, and homeowners Excavation & Equipment Operation Operate excavators, skid steers, compactors, and other construction equipment Perform trenching, grading, backfilling, and site restoration Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures Maintain equipment, tools, and company vehicles Team & Customer Service Communicate professionally with customers and teammates Represent West Side Drain with professionalism and integrity Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites Complete job documentation accurately and efficiently What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Previous excavation or underground utility experience Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry 75+ pounds Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and open excavations Preferred Qualifications Septic installation experience Sewer and drain repair experience Excavator and skid steer operating experience CDL license (or willingness to obtain) Construction, plumbing, utility, or civil excavation background Experience reading site plans and grades Our Ideal Team Member You may be a great fit if you: ✔ Show up on time and ready to work ✔ Take ownership of your work and responsibilities ✔ Communicate respectfully with customers and coworkers ✔ Value safety, quality, and attention to detail ✔ Are coachable and eager to learn new skills ✔ Thrive in a team environment but can work independently when needed What We OfferBenefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Overtime opportunities 401(k) with company match Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Health Savings Account (HSA) Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Employee discounts Tools and equipment provided Company apparel Career advancement opportunities Ongoing training and professional development Why Work at West Side Drain?
