Job Description

Job Summary Icon Construction & Development LLC is an established heavy civil and utility contractor based in West Linn, Oregon. We are seeking experienced Pipelayers to support public works, commercial, and private development projects across Oregon and Southwest Washington. This role is responsible for installing underground utility systems—including water, sewer, storm drainage, and dry utilities—while ensuring proper alignment, grade accuracy, and compliance with project specifications and safety requirements. Duties Install, align, and assemble underground piping systems (RCP, DIP, PVC, HDPE) for: Water mains Sewer systems Storm drainage Force mains Utility conduits Use lasers, transits, grade rods, and levels to verify alignment, slope, and elevation Perform pipe joining (gasketed, mechanical, and fusion connections) Support trenchless installation methods such as pipe bursting and CIPP as needed Prepare trenches, including excavation, bedding, and backfilling Read and interpret plans, specifications, and utility standards Coordinate closely with operators and laborers to maintain production efficiency Follow all safety protocols, including trench protection and confined space requirements Inspect materials and report defects or inconsistencies Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Participate in daily safety meetings and crew coordination Experience 3-5 years of underground utility installation experience Experience in public works, roadway, and site development projects Working knowledge of Oregon Standard Specifications and local utility requirements Strong understanding of grade control and pipe installation best practices Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, production-driven environment
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
