Job Description

Pipefitter - Now Hiring Position Overview Genesis is seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our team. This role involves the layout, installation, and maintenance of piping systems onboard vessels, including heat and power systems, hydraulic lines, air pressure systems, and oil lines. This position requires precision, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to interpret detailed blueprints.
Pay & Schedule Pay Rate:
$23.25 - $29.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00
PM Overtime:
Available, with weekend work as needed Key Responsibilities Lay out, install, and maintain vessel piping systems Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Cut, thread, and fit pipes using hand tools and shop machinery Bore holes in bulkheads and decks for pipe installation Connect piping systems to fixtures and equipment Test systems for leaks and ensure compliance with specifications Work collaboratively with apprentices/helpers as needed Qualifications Proven experience as a pipefitter Relevant certifications as required for the trade Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately Genesis Staffing provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
