Job Description

Job Summary :
HardHat Charlotte is seeking experienced Journeyman Pipefitters to join our team. We specialize in high-quality industrial process piping, fabrication, and installation for manufacturing, industrial, and commercial clients. Pipefitters will plan, lay out, assemble, install, test, and maintain piping systems in industrial settings, working with various materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements Measure, cut, thread, bend, and fit pipes to exact specifications using hand and power tools Assemble and install piping systems for process fluids, gases, hydraulics, or other industrial applications Align pipes and fittings for welding or bolting, ensuring proper support and hangers Test piping systems for leaks using hydrostatic or pneumatic testing methods Perform layout and fabrication in the shop or field Collaborate with welders, millwrights, and other trades on job sites Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to OSHA and company safety standards Travel to job sites as needed (primarily regional, with possible out-of-state projects) Qualifications & Requirements 4+ years of verifiable journeyman-level experience as a Pipefitter in industrial/process piping (preferred) Experience with industrial piping systems (process piping, steam, chemicals, utilities, etc.) Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and codes (e.g., ASME B31.3) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Proficiency with tools such as pipe threaders, cutters, grinders, levels, and alignment equipment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check NCCER certification, OSHA 10/30, or welding certifications a plus (but not required) Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces when needed What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and skills Opportunities for overtime Health insurance, retirement plan, and other benefits (details provided during interview) Stable work with a respected local industrial contractor Supportive team environment with room for growth If you're a skilled Pipefitter looking for challenging industrial work with a company known for quality craftsmanship, apply today!
