Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pipefitter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various construction and manufacturing settings. Your expertise will ensure that all piping work adheres to safety standards, blueprints, and industry codes such as ASME. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and tube bending equipment to ensure precise measurements and fittings. Rig and position pipes securely using rigging techniques on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing piping systems to ensure optimal operation and install new systems. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including ASME codes & standards, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety procedures. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues using mechanical knowledge and schematic diagrams for efficient problem-solving. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used during each project phase. Skills Ability to read complex blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and pipe fabrication schematics with confidence. Mechanical aptitude combined with knowledge of pipe threading, tube bending, rigging practices, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Familiarity with construction site safety practices and experience working in manufacturing or construction environments. Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards related to piping systems; knowledge of welding requirements is a plus. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise pipe fitting. Experience with calibration tools like calipers; ability to interpret schematics accurately for assembly tasks. Knowledge of maintenance procedures for piping systems across various industries including pipeline transportation or industrial manufacturing.
