Pipefitter Job Description:
The Pipefitter will assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for mechanical and HVAC applications in federal, commercial, and industrial facilities. This role requires strong mechanical ability, welding experience, and knowledge of piping layout and fit-up. Candidates will work closely with HVAC technicians and project managers to ensure systems are installed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Responsibilities include precise alignment, secure fitting, and system integration in compliance with project requirements and safety standards. Qualifications forPipefitter:
- Minimum 4 years of pipefitting or mechanical piping experience
- Experience with stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, or similar materials
- Ability to cut, thread, and install screw pipe and Victaulic fittings
- Ability to read and interpret layouts and mechanical drawings
- Experience with alignment and layout tools including miter markers, fit-clamps, tape measures, and levels
- Strong understanding of piping systems, mechanical installation, and HVAC coordination Additional Requirements for
Pipefitter:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- Must have reliable transportation to the job site and proper use of PPE (Hard Hat, Vest, Safety Glasses, Gloves, and Steel Toed Boots)
Tools:
Miter Markers, Fit-clamps, pocket levels, tape measure, hacksaw, pipe wrenches.Alignment & Layout:
Two-Hole Pins (for aligning flange holes), Magnetic Centering Heads (finding center points), Pipe Wraps/Wrap-a-rounds (marking straight lines), and Flange Aligners.Measuring & Marking:
Pocket levels, Pro-Welders 3rd Hand, Tape Measures, and Plumb Bobs.Cutting & Preparation:
Hacksaws, Manual Pipe Cutters, and Pipe Wrenches.Handling & Fit-up:
