DOE Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing underground pipelines that transport water, sewage, or irrigation. As a Pipelayer, you will work closely with the construction crew to ensure pipelines are properly installed and meet project specifications.

Duties:

• Lay out pipe routes following blueprints and project specifications
• Excavate trenches using equipment such as backhoes and bulldozers
• Install and align pipes in trenches, ensuring proper slope and alignment
• Connect pipes using welding, glue, or other methods
• Test pipelines for leaks and ensure proper functioning
• Backfill trenches and compact soil around pipes
• Assist in concrete forming and finishing related to pipeline construction

Skills:

• Proficiency in concrete forming and finishing techniques
• Experience in heavy equipment operation
• Knowledge of utility locating procedures
• Ability to operate GPS and Lasers for precise pipe alignment
• Strong understanding of construction site safety protocols
• Familiarity with pipeline installation methods
