Utility Pipe Installer MKS Construction Lubbock, TX Job Details Full-time From $18 an hour 2 hours ago Benefits 401(k) 3% Match Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Opportunities for advancement Life insurance Qualifications Outdoor work Heavy equipment operation Pipe laser Power tools Hand tools Full Job Description Duties Install underground utilities such as water, sewer gas and storm drainage system Read and understand site utility drawings Operate or work around heavy equipment in safe and efficient manner Follow all safety protocols and job site procedures Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Maintain tools and equipment Install C900 pipe, SDR pipe, PVC pipe, and MJ fittings. Perform live water taps (experience preferred) Shoot grade using a transit or laser level to ensure accuracy Assist in setting manholes, grease traps, and water vaults to grade Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently Perform backfill and compaction operations as needed Maintain a clean and organized job site Work closely with the crew to ensure quality installation and job completion Qualifications Prior utility installation experience is a plus (C900, SDR, PVC) Ability to shoot grade with a transit or laser accurately Ability to read grade and work safely around existing utilities Willingness to perform manual labor and assist the crew when needed Positive attitude and strong work ethic All tools will be provided Must have reliable transportation and a commitment to safety Why join
