Full Job Description Description:
Seeking 2 Pipefitters for a turnaround in LaPorte, TX starting Monday, June 22.
Work Schedule:
10 hour shifts, 7 days/week
Overtime:
30 hours/week
Key Responsibilities:
Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipes using hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Lay out, fabricate, and install piping systems according to blueprints, isometric drawings, and specifications. Install hangers, supports, valves, and related components. Fit and align piping accurately for welders and perform bolting or mechanical connections. Inspect, test, and repair installed systems for leaks and alignment. Work with various pipe materials (carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, alloy) and connection types (welded, flanged, threaded, and mechanical). Read and interpret P&IDs, spool drawings, and field sketches. Operate lifts, rigging equipment, and hand tools safely. Follow all site safety rules, procedures, and confined space or hot work requirements. Collaborate with welders, boilermakers, and other trades to complete system installations efficiently.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a recognized pipefitting apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job experience. Minimum of 3 years of pipefitting experience in industrial construction or maintenance. Knowledge of pipefitting standards, practices, and industry codes (ASME, ANSI, API).
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, isometrics, and P&IDs. Strong understanding of pipe fabrication, layout, and installation techniques. Skilled in the safe use of pipe threading, cutting, and bending tools. Knowledge of rigging and material handling procedures. Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. Commitment to quality work and strict adherence to safety standards.
